This statewide award is presented annually at the Kansas Women's Leadership Conference. The purpose of this award is to recognize a woman from the state of Kansas who has achieved excellence in leadership. We need you to nominate the next Kansas Woman Leader of the Year! Below is a list of suggested leadership characteristics and nomination form. Leadership Characteristics for Consideration Nominees will be evaluated on one or more of the following suggested leadership characteristics Courage- courage to take a stand in their work or community Empowerment- helps others develop to their full potential Passion- recognized as possessing a strong enthusiasm for a cause or project Social Change- mobilizing others to make a difference in community Nomination Process
In order to be eligible to apply, the nominee who has made a positive difference at either the local, state, national or international level, must be a female who currently resides in Kansas. The nominee must plan to attend the conference on March 26, 2010 in Hays Kansas. Nomination Form Please complete the following nomination form by the priority deadline of February 15th, 2010. In answering the questions, describe how the nominee has exemplified the leadership characteristics listed above. In addition, please submit two brief letters of support to ccl@fhsu.edu. Selection Process The recipient will be selected by the Kansas Woman Leader of the Year Selection Committee. She will be notified a month in advance, and must commit to attending the conference. Recipient's conference registration fee will be complementary. The recipient must be present at the conference in order to accept the award. The 2010 Kansas Woman Leader of the Year will be announced at the conference. |
